Privacy Policy
Effective October 6, 2026
Reef is a focus timer where fish grow while you focus. It's made by Ravina Labs ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.
The short version
Reef doesn't collect, store, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. Everything Reef knows about you stays on your phone.
What stays on your device
Reef saves your timer settings, your fish and their names, your pearls, and the decor you've bought. This is stored only on your device, so it is never sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it.
Notifications. If you allow them, Reef schedules reminders on your device (for example, when a focus section ends or when your fish needs you). They are created by the app itself; no notification server is involved.
Phone calls (iPhone). During focus, Reef checks whether a call is in progress so that taking a call doesn't count as leaving. It only sees that a call is happening, never who it's with, and this information isn't stored or sent.
Apps you can use (Android). If you choose apps you may use during focus and grant Usage access, Reef checks on your device which app is in front, only while a focus session is running. This isn't stored beyond the session or sent anywhere.
App updates
Reef checks Expo's update service for new versions of the app. Like any internet request, this includes technical details needed to deliver the right update (such as the app version and platform) and your IP address. Expo handles it under its own privacy policy; Reef doesn't use it to identify you.
Children
Reef doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
